Maysan labs offers various chemical tests regrading construction, foundation and agriculture for soil and water. To ensure the correct use of a material and maintain quality in construction, manufacturers must evaluate their product's properties and follow a suitable quality control plan. For each product and specific use, national and international standards have been established that specify the mechanical, durability, physical and chemical properties and requirements that are applicable to them. Maysan performs full construction material characterization. According to Saudi Arabia's 2030 vision, Maysan provides the best technical test for soil agriculture in order to increase production or providing consultant to solve its issue.
General when cavities find in Limestone rock. Therefore, it is recommended to carry out cavity probing and grouting at proposed structure location. Cavity Probing Cavity probing could be carried out grid under the mat foundation to a as per suitable depth below excavation level.The cavity probing should be carried out by using percussion drill machines. The drilling should be conducted by means of penetrating a probe equipped with a bit into the bearing strata through pneumatic driving. Compressed air should be used to clear the hole as the drilling advance. The time for penetration of probe through each consecutive 20cm penetration should be recorded, which indicates the resistance to bearing strata penetration. In case of fissures and / or interconnections in the underlying strata, the time for penetration records will be small and loss in the flushing air will be noticed. In case of cavity, there will be no resistance to rock penetration and it will occur all of a sudden. The probing and the record of time for consecutive 20cm penetration should be carried out down to the required investigation depth. After the completion of each single probe, the hole will be thoroughly flushed with compressed air. A PVC sleeve should be fixed at the top of the hole with the help of cement grout. The sleeve will be used to pump grout with the help of packer. Upon fixing of the PVC sleeve, the hole will be plugged / covered to prevent any dirt falling into it. After the execution of cavity probing, all probe holes should be filled with sand cement grout under pressure. The mix should be designed as per the project specifications.
The injection grouting will be performed to fill all the probes / cavities, irrespective of the result of cavity probing. Grout consisted of sand, cement, water and chemical additive (if required) should be used. The mix design should be determined based on a laboratory trial that fulfills the grout requirements as per the project specifications. A packer system should be positioned on the top of the hole (within the PVC sleeve) and grouting should be conducted with the specified grout mix.When the grouting pressure reaches a pressure of 150kPa, the grouting should be terminated. A Putzmeister grouting plant or the equivalent should be used. The plant generally consists of agitator, pump, pressure dial gauge and packer. The procedure for grouting the hole is discussed in the following steps: 01. A packer system will be installed on the top of the probe hole. 02. Mixing can be done using mechanical mixers on site. For large quantity, ready mix grout can also be used. 03. A known volume of grout should be poured from the mixer to the agitator and another batch will be prepared for subsequent use.04. Grout should be pumped from the agitator to the probe hole till the probe hole is completely filled and the specified pressure of 150kPa is achieved. 05. The process should be repeated for the rest of the holes. The record of cavity probing and grouting should be maintained in the form of a log.
